Does anyone know a general timeline that cic takes to look at your application after you have been asked to send documents and you recieve an email stating they have been attached to your file for the agent to look at?

was there a "due date" listed in the letter request? there really is no consistency. some officers wait until that due date passes (generally 30, 60 90 days) and some continue processing once the documents are received. it's very officer specific, so there's really no way to tell how long it will take.

again, no way to determine. all that can be done is hope for the best and go by the trends for your visa office. if you're from the us, then the expected process is 4.5-6 months, so it may be closer to the 6 month mark for total processing.
