Just give a call to your branch and ask them that you need a letter for immigration purpose. You can mention all the info you need for the letter per CIC requirement but they don't provide any personalized letter. They have their own format which will cover most of the info but not everything. That's why I have attached previous 6 months statement attested by them(make sure you get them attested by CIBC, not the online copy). They will charge 16.5 CAD for the letter and they may charge extra for attesting the statement.

As I am still in process, i won't say that the letter will work for sure. I tried to provide everything I could. I can advise you one more thing: if you are with CIBC, then you must have received a semi annual portfolio report from them sometime in July. It will be a good idea if you can attach that with your letter and statement. I received that after submitting my application. That is really a nice document covers all the requirement. You can also try to get an updated portfolio report. Best of Luck.

Thanks for replying! Did you rcv that letter instantly? I had requested that letter at a local branch but it has been 2 weeks and I havent rcvd it yet. Also, I cant find that email from cibc that you mentioned. Ive been with them for more than 3 years now. Could you tell me the subject line of that email please.

Hi, I did not send them any email, only ordered it over phone. It usually takes 2-3 business days. I got it within 72 hours. Give them a call and get the status of the letter. This letter is prepared at the back office and they email it to the branch. Branch office then print it and sign it for you. You will have to collect it from branch. i am sure it is waiting for you in the branch office. Give them a call tomorrow in the first hour. And what do you mean by email? Regarding the portfolio report? I received that in mail, paper copy.
