Guys, I have received payment instruction from CIBC in which they have mentioned "wire must come from an account in your name."
I am planning to transfer money through forex agent, So now I have a confusion that whether payment from forex agents is allowed or not? Will my application get rejected if I pay through any money transfer agent?

The money transfer should be done through the bank as far as I am known to the case. I guess you are planning to send money via Western Union or some similar agents. You can ask the local bank and explain the case.

Did CIBC or the University provide you the SWIFT code or any other information?

The money should come from the bank account either in your name or joint account with parents. It also helps during refund.

Please send using State Bank of India.
Go to a branch with Forex.
They can give you almost same exchange rates.
Be safe and transfer through your own account.

Which forex agent did you use ?
And what happened to the rule that it has to be from a bank account under your name ?
