** China EMS Alert **

This message is specific to those in China or sponsoring from China.

We utilized the services of EMS to courier our sponsorship package to CPC-M. We were advised that it would be done via AIR transport (which we paid a premium for), hence only a few days to arrive.
We received the tracking number, and began following the package. Unfortunately, the company we were dealing with sent our parcel via GROUND transport (except from Shanghai to Vancouver obviously) and, not only via ground but also by way of smaller communities on the way for further pickups. Instead of taking 3-5 days to arrive at CPC-M, it took 15 days. Calls to the local EMS office, as well as to EMS Head Office were disastrous, with no one accepting any responsibility for their actions, and making up ridiculous excuses as to why the parcel hadn't arrived yet.

All in all, I'm happy that the parcel arrived, however, after being cheated by what appears to be an entire company of liars, I highly recommend you do not use them.

I recall that rjessome (who has been silent lately) recommended Fed-Ex. I have had no problems with DHL.

I have always used FedEx and they delivered packets/packages as promised except for the last one last July. I received the package later than they had promised.

We should start a subforum where we get to bash couriers... we lost 6 days because Canada Post couldnt take ours 65 kms without screwing it up.

I sit with you on the fact that I am just happy it's there now.
