Hi Degi, did you use DHL for waybill?

Thank you very much

lesson from my past - i would recommend taking a photo or writing down the waybill number of the extra one you give them so you can track it once you get decision made.

Thank you very much Kysorb. I will do it as you did.

But somebody posted saying he was told that Canada DHL can't do waybill but Canada post can. The main thing is Beijing VO suggested to use DHL.

Thanks again.

if the package is going to be sent to you inside China they ask you to prefill out an an EMS waybill. You buy these for 1 Yuan at any China Post.

If the package is being sent outside of China they ask for a DHL waybill.. You can get these from a DHL office or courier - its shouldn't be a problem. At my old work DHL gave us a stack of them so we could pre-fill them in before the DHL guy got there. (not sure if they cost 1 yuan too)

no no, its 1 yuan just for the "waybill" which is the paper they attach to the envelope with your address on it..

here is the link they give you for the waybill images.

The embassy will pay to mail it to you. (at least they did with my EMS, i have no idea if they send it collect outside china but inside china the shipping was covered for me

Hi Kysorb, you are so helpful.

Thank you very much.

We will send out this Wednesday.

So, we finally got an update on our application. We are officially in "the interview waiting queue.." (see email from Beijing VO)

Good to know at least something... The thing to note here, is that we went on the advice of someone in a China-based forum - to Fax a letter of inquiry (to Beijing Offices) on the status of our case - in that we haven't heard boo-howdy since AOR2 May 24th - and no changes whatsoever in "status" on ECAS since April 1st... Not complaining (much) here - others have a much longer and unknown haul and heartache than we have had., but ECAS could be much more useful if it simply gave a bit more detailed status (such as, "in interview waiting queue,") to clients, as indicated in their response below;

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please be advised that your file is now in the interview waiting queue. We will inform you once your interview date has been scheduled, please remain patient and wait for us to contact you.

We understand that you wish to be informed of any changes in your status; therefore we welcome you to visit the online Client Application Status.

Yours sincerely,

At least they responded to our fax. The first yet. Thankful for that tip! We're hoping for a November interview and December PPR/COPR. That would be a nice scenario!
:)

Knowing is always better than not knowing. At least now you can prepare towards that interview to have the information ready. Hopefully you can deduce from your notes what the questions are. You may want to consider "arming" your wife. or submitting it by mail to the Embassy further proof of relationship from your last visit here such as pictures ticket information ETC.

It is great you have got reply from VO and known what next you should do.
The good thing is that Beijing VO usually issues PR the same day as the interview.

Good luck for interview

There is an old saying in China 'Zhen Jin bu pa huo Lian ' or 'True gold fears no fire'

Hi Minzi, if you are being sponsored by your spouse for permenant resident, the application should be sent to Mississagua.

Why missisuagua? I have sent my app at this address:Centralized Intake Office,49 Dorchester Street,Sydney, NS,Canada. I am principal applicant. Have you got some reply from CIC & when did you apply?

Hi I guess you are Economic class applications so that you sent your application to Sydney which is right but you have come to a wrong Topic. This topic is for family class sponsorship so we sent to Mississauga.

Please find a right Topic to post your question.

Good luck
