Child's passport expired- No Medical exam - Please help

My child's (who is 11 year old) passport has expired and we are unable to renew it due to covid situation before the deadline. We need to submit our documents by May 15th. Medical doctors are saying they cant perform the medical without a valid passport for the child.

What can we do in this situation? Looking for any help/advice from the members here.

Let IRCC know that you need an extension since your child's passport has expired and you can't get the medical done.

Just to add to my note below, if you're talking about submitting your application after ITA - then you can't get an extension. Submit everything else and inlcude an LOE explaining why you can't get the medical done. Then get the passport renewed and the medical done as soon as you can and submit those as a follow up.

Yes, this is about submitting application after ITA. The application has some mandatory fields about valid ID, it's asking for valid from and to date. The expiry date is not taking the old date, so form is incomplete. Any suggestion. on how to get past this issue?
