Hi There,

Can anyone please help me?

I am a returning permanent residence, right now I am in Winnipeg, Manitoba with my wife and daughter.

I need to sponsor my daughter from here. My daughter is 6 month old and have British passport. at the moment she has been granted a visitor visa upto July 2014.

Now my problem is which form to fill and which supportive documents I need to submit. I tried to call CIC on 1-888-242‑2100 so many times. but it is just automated tape which goes on and on.

I spoke to one of the consultant and he advice that my application will go to Alberta but on CIC site it advised that I need to mail my application to Mississauga, Ontario.

Also he told me that it will take upto six months to get my daughters PR.

Can anyone please advice on which forms to be fill in and which other supportive docs I need and where I need to send the application and the processing time as well?

you need to sponsor as outland as children alone can not be processed inland. I hope your wife is also PR

1. do upfront medicals for your baby and take receipt

2 fill all the forms as outland application and send them to missisauga including sponsorship and immigration forms.

3.http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp according to this london takes 10 months processing time but it can be faster for children.

4. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp includes instruction guide and relevant forms.

Your previous posts state you applied for a TRP for your child. Did the child come to Canada on a TRP or as a visa-exempt visitor using her British passport?

In this post itself he mentioned his daughter is with him on visit. I had seen one case in the forum in which inland application is converted in to H&C which wil take 36 months.

Yes I applied for TRP for my daughter in UK.

I received a letter from CIC UK office that a TRP has been issued for my daughter and it will be given at the time of immigration at any Canadian border by immigration officer.

On the base of that letter we (I, my wife and daughter) came to Canada, but the immigration officer told me that she can only see my file status as "IN PROGRESS" and that she cant find any other info issued by London (UK) office on their system.

I showed her that letter but she said that because it is not reflecting on their system here in Canada that a TRP has been issued as such she can not issue a TRP for my daughter.
instead she granted a visitor visa (for the same duration as mentioned by London office in the letter) till 31st july 2014 and informed me that I need to apply for family class sponsorship at earliest possible.

so I tried to enquire the same with the CIC on the number 1-888-242‑2100 . but its automated tape which goes on and I didn't get a chance to speak to anyone.

if you don't mind could you please advice that which application form I need to fill in and which other supportive documents I need to submit along with the application form and to which address?(like IMM????)

First as mentioned start with upfront medical for ur baby.

To speak to agent select at least 2 options when you call cic

R u working now in canada .check mentioned link and ask if you have doubt.

You need not submit any except old bank statements or stubs if u have and how u take care of ur child financially in cover letter and medical paper along with forms

As she is here as a visitor and not on a TRP, you will sponsor her outland through London.

if you are employed details and if not employed bank statements back home
and cover letter explaining ur financial situation.

you should start reading the documents and fill out forms as this process takes some time.

For medicals of your child go to one of the panel doctor and finish medicals

I just thought I would ask, because it had not been asked before. You have met your RO, correct? I mean, if you are in danger of not meeting it, it would not be wise to start your sponsorship of your daughter and bring that to the attention of CIC. I might be totally off base about it, but I think it would apply the same to sponsor your child as it would to sponsor a spouse ... just something to think about.

Those are Residency obligations (R.O) which should be atleast 2 years before your actual pr expiry date .If you re entered b4 that date then it should be fine.
