I'm hoping someone has been through this situation and has some experience I can draw on.
I wish to apply for a Canadian passport for my daughter who was born in South Africa but already has a Canadian citizenship certificate.
I was informed that if we wanted to travel before receiving the citizenship certificate we would have to provide proof of imminent travel. Is this "proof" also required if you DO have the citizenship certificate already?
It seems a bit weird that I would need to have this proof if I wanted to apply for her passport earlier to be safe.
Do I HAVE to book her ticket before I can apply for her passport?
Thanx for any help offered!
