I'm a Canadian Citizen living in Japan. I never registered my children as Canadian and assumed at the time that they weren't citizens if I didn't. I didn't want to do it in order to avoid them having to renounce it at age 20 as dual citizenship isn't legal here. I'm bringing them with me on a trip to Canada and thus ordered Japanese passports. However, I learned that it's a requirement to enter Canada with a Canadian passport if you're a Canadian citizen. Would that also apply for them? They're 12 and 10 if that makes any difference.
