Hello everyone. I have a question regarding family sponsorship of my son who I have primary physical custody of. In febuary 2017 I was awarded primary physical custody of my 5 year old. In my custody papers my sons father agreed to allow me to relocate to canada with our child in june 2017. I am applying for pr for us and he is refusing to sign IMM5604 (Declaration From Non-Accompanying Parent for Minors Immigrating to Canada). I dont have sole custody but he knew I was moving and agreed to let the the child come. Can I just submit my custody papers showing he agreeded or do I have to have him sign that document. Thank you

My understanding is that you need to have him sign the IMM 5604 paper. If he doesn't sign it, then you will have to write a detailed explanation to convince them. I have been browsing lately on this and this is the info i have gathered from different resources.
Plz help. Cic has asked me to submit custody document issued by relevant judicial authority for my daughter as I m divorced and applied along with my child. I dont have custody order but but I have IMM5604 form signed and no objection letter from my ex spouse stating that he has no objection in case of travelling abroad of my daughter. What should I do now????
