Child Benefit Once Granted Canadian Citizenship

My brother and his children are moving back to canada. Brother is Canadian Citizenship and the two kids are not.
He wants to know if he returns to canada and once granted citizenship for his children, How long does he have to wait to receive child benefit? one of the child have health issues and needs disability benefits as well.

Was your brother born in Canada? If so, any of his children would be Canadian citizens, no matter where they were born. As to benefits, I don't know about disability benefits, but most things here don't happen instantly. For example, an Old Age Security application takes 30+ weeks to process.
