You need to tell them how long you have been out of Canada (what specific date you left Canada) and also let them know that you haven't returned since them. You will have to repay all of the payments you received since you left Canada (including an interest rate penalty). You no longer qualified to receive this benefit once you left the country and were obligated to notify them once you left Canada so that they could stop payments.

You should take this notice very seriously since receiving benefits fraudulently is a crime. Make sure you are 100% honest in your reply about the date when you left Canada and be prepared to repay all of the funds you received which you were not entitled to.

What you need to d is fairly simple. Call the CRA and inform them that you left the country on the date that you did. DO NOT LIE as they can easily check records if they want to. They will ask you to repay the amounts received after your date of departure with interest and/or penalties. Once that it done, everything will be cleared.

Call CRA and arrange to repay the benefits you weren't entitled to receive to avoid bigger problems in the future.
