I got a call for verification from NDVO, please find the details as follows

The same thing happened to me. They called my employer on 5th December at around 3 PM on their landline and asked about me, my postion, my job duties as well as my pay though my employer told that the information is confidential but they insisted. Also, the lady on the other side was quite rude.

Now the amazing part.

By keeping my employer call on hold, she called my home landline number to verify details with my self but I had left for work and hence was told by my brother that I already left for work.

At the same moment I got a call on my mobile to verify my personal details like my DOB, my anniversary and all but due to I being in traffic I had to speak twice or so and she was not satisfied with it although I gave all the correct details.

My E-CASE status changed to "In Pocess" on 8th December with a line added that " We reviewed your file and started processing on 8th Dec"

What should I expect next?

Also, my address(consultant) has disappeared on 27TH Jan,2012

They were rude that really suck . But keep your spirit high brother
. One more thing they might visit your work place just to make sure and you should have your employer ready to answer their questions properly . Best of luck

I don't think they do visit workplaces at the moment. I haven't heard any case where thay have visited workplaces.

That was a while ago.

Hello Friends,
Please can someone help me advised me on the step i want to take.
I am a Nigerian leaving in Finland. I sent my full documents with application for FSW to CIO in Canada on 15th Feb 2012 and after three weeks that the reviewed my application the returned it back on 8th March 2012 telling me that my application was not eligible for further processing due to the reason that my past employer has not demonstrated well in the reference letter that I have full experience on the NOC 6241 "Chef" that I applied for by not telling them the duties and responsibilities that I performed during my working period with my past employer.
To this end, I have contacted my past employer in Nigeria through phone and explained to him about the issue and he promised to re-write the reference letter with the format that I got as directed by the CIO for the FSW application supporting documents on NOC experience.
Please i would like to resubmit my application back to CIO Canada for further review of my application once i get the refernce letter from my former employer from Nigeria,
I hope re-sending back my application to CIO would not cost me any harm or further suspicious from the FSW authority.
Please I need advice on this matter urgently based on the step that i want to take.

Dear uchematt,

You can resubmit your application with updated information, there wont be any problem in doing so. My only concern is your inclusion in the 10000 cap this year. As per my understanding you dont have much time left or unfortunately you could have missed out by now. You need to send your application within this week if you want to bet on your very bleak chance of inclusion now. Wish you best of luck.

File transferred to NDVO, received AOR email today fro ND.

Friends, whats is the next step, please?

Good luck and prayers to all waiting.

hello guys,,

I applied under 6242 Cook (new NOC 6322). I worked part-time as cook for four years in a restaurant alongwith my other job. I score 7.5 in ielts. My application was received by CIC on 2nd March 2012. I'm worried about the cap. My bank account was debited by my bank at the same time when they were preparing my demand draft (my mistake) so don't really know if it's already enchased.

I applied through the consultant who said this new NOC will not make any difference. Can anyone explaine how it will effect our applications.

Thanks in advance...and good luck to everyone..

Following are the words from the letter that i received from vo.

" I am now completing the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa. It appears that you mey not meet the requirements for immigration to canada.

After conducting verifications of your employment, i have credible information which indicates to me that your reference letter dated "may 2011" is not genuine. I am not therefore satisfied that you have the experience as claimed in the letter said to be writen and signed by XXXX( my ex employer) in may 2011. You are hereby given an opportunity to respond to this concern.

Before i make a final decision, you may submit additional information relating to this issue. If you choose not to respond with additional information i will make my decision based on the information before me, which may result in the refusal of your application.

I look forward to receiving your additional information.

**** please note that no verification call has been made to my ex employer. I think this a standard way to reconfirm my ex employment. Any suggestions forum members ???.

They just want to panic you to know if you will slack back and from there they will hold on you. just write them and tell them that you dont like the way the accused you and since they have your employer contact that you expect them to contact you ex employer than to accused you. though they said they have evidence but dont mind them is just a way of shaking you to know your fate. go ahead and tell them to contact your employer but b4 then make sure u have water ur ground wit d ex employer
