CHC new Delhi Imigration Time and Steps

Hi all,

From what I have figured out on the spreadsheet for Delhi, they request passport in 14 days of Sponsor approval.
And on an average the application processing time after receiving PP is 1 to 2 months if your case is straight forward.
Let's hope all of us get approved soon.

So best case scenario is 30-60 days from them recieving our PP. Why does the cic website show New Delhi as 8 months processing time? its so confusing.

8 months is average time taken to process all applications in 2011. So there might be many cases of ppl with travelling history, people with 2nd mrg and many cases in which they call for interview so taking in to account such cases it goes to 8 months.
As I said for a straight forward case only around 1-2 months.
Don't quote me on this it's just what I think.

i got the passport submission rqt from CHC DElhi. now i have to send my passport with coverletter so anyboby what material we have to put in coverletter. Anyone have format or sample coverletter for CHC (SPOUSE CASE).

I have the same condition, applied on January 30, approved on 30 April. I send my spouse passport on 15 May. It has been 11 weeks; there is no correspondence from Delhi office; no update in the online status.....I heard that After getting a passport, the timeframe is 8 to 12 weeks....Is it true???? Some people may get before that also

helo i applied the file on january 22....and it got approved on 30 april and transferred to chc, ND...pp request was sent on 15 may...its been more than 2 months i hve sent my pp to chc which was received on 25 may by vo.. .....till now waiting for the decision....

@Sony396: My application at Missisuage was approved on April 30, 2012 and my spouse received the letter from New Delhi for asking for passport on May 12 on email. The letter was dispatched on 9th May from that day I as of now I am waiting

did you hear anything from ND? if not you should contact your MP and order GCMS notes to figure out the reason for delay

hi sonny, i dont think, if its right time to ask about passport back ??? ??? THEY need to wait for sponsorship approval first ??? :. January applicants are still waiting for passport back from ND. July applicants needs to wait for at least few months it takes around 5-8 months for passport back from CHC. (BUT YOU APPLIED IN MARCH, and i think you are very close to DM )

i thought, im only one left from JAN group but you are waiting longer than me. do you have any travel history or long work history?
did you contact your MP or order GCMS notes? hope you receive your passport back soon

Hi Guys:

I am sharing my time and experience that I had. My case is for Nepal.
Finally my spouse received a documents. It took around seven month to finalize

Application received by Missisuaga: Jan 30, 2012
Application approved by Missisuage: April 30, 2012
File opened in New delhi: May 9, 2012
My spouse received an email from New Delhi: May 12, 2012 (which is saturday)
Passport Received by New Delhi: 15 May, 2012
Online decision made: 11 August 2012 (which is saturday again)
Passport received by the applicant: 14 August 2012 (passport arrives every Tuesday in Canadian Embassy, Kathmandu)

I don't know it is a coincidence or ???, but one day before the on line decison made, I went to the local MP and filled a complaint letter. I was assured that they will make a query about my case, the following day online status was updated.....

and in how many days they reply back to you.
