Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum ...so hello to all.

I'm just wondering who else started their application this year and what their status is...?

I sent my husband's application in June and I'm worried how the strike will affect us. How much of a delay should we be expecting??

hello how are you? and welcome to you on this forum.
I would like to know where you have submitted your husband's application? Mississauga?
My wife also submitted my application In July 2013 and three days before my application is transferred to Islamabad.

Mr. Baird said Canadian embassies are at “an elevated risk,” but they had not been ordered to follow the U.S. lead and shut their doors on Sunday. He would not discuss the nature of the threat.

I applied on March,2013 . I didn't heard anything from CHC-Islamabad, i think we have to wait at least for 9 to 12 months to hear something from CHC . I wish you good luck on your visa process

Salam To Everyone

Three days before my file transfer to Islamabad from Ottawa. i have two questions.

1) How Many Months Now I Have To Wait For The Next Step?
2) Having NIL Travel and Work History Can Pace Up My Application Process?

Thankx

That is precisely what CPP-O does now a days. They will definitely look into it as to why you were refused. Fortunately, most students get refused for minor issues like not enough financial support or not providing enough documents to support the case. Which in my opinion should not be considered for spousal sponsorship case.
A refusal of visa to another country can be for a variety of reasons. As long as the applicant does not have any CRIMINAL RECORD anywhere, it should not affect their PR application negatively, even if it was refused. Most visas are refused due to the reason that they believe applicant will not return back to origin country. Pretty common in 3rd world countries.

That's what I meant when I said not enough documents to support the case.

Hello Guys/Gals,

I am new to this forum and I need your advise regarding spousal sponsorship program.
I came to Canada in Sept 2009 and then got a degree. Later I applied in the PNP program
and got my permanent residence(PR) in April 2013. I was employed in an IT company since
July 2011 and when I became PR I qucikly resigned from my job and head back to my country
as I wanted to spend some time with my family. I am in Pakistan since May 2013 and will be
coming back to Canada by the end of this month.

*Note I had a stable job since July 2011 and never have been unemployed till the time I resigned.

During my stay in Pakistan I got married . Now my question to you guys is that when I will
return to Canada I wont have a job immediately. It might take a month or 2 get a decent job
again. So can I apply for my wife immediately or should I get a job first and then apply?
I want to add one more point I have been filing all my taxes every year since I have arrived.

Do you guys think I am eligble?
Should I take the help of a lawyer? (They are quite expensive and I will use one as a last resort)

Waiting anxiously for your replies

Bye!!!

welcome to the forum
yes u can apply immediately
u can add t 4 slip of last year
u can explain in a cover letter that u have to quit the job to meet ur family as they were not giving u leaves and u can attach ur degress which shows u r capable of finding a new job and tell them that u ll update the embassy after u find a job again

2nd option is
U can go there gather all papers a bit time consuming
gather lots of proofs of relationship
and in the meanwhile u ll find a job
so then u can apply with a job letter as well

In my opinion
u r well educated so u can easily fill all the forms with help of ur wife
dnt need to waste lots of money
As they are eeally expensive and forms to be filled are so simple

Dnt forget to write a long cover letter to explain ur relationship

Hope it helps u

Goodluck

Salaam to all

Doubts in my mind

Question1. A pakistan origin, permanent resident of canada under skilled workers program, and unemployed gets married in pakistan under pakistan law. Does he register his marriage in Canada? Does he require the original nikah nama (urdu) for this purpose?

Question 2. Can the same person draw any benefits on his marital status as married but wife in pakistan?

Question 3. If yes in question 1 then divorced under pakistan law would also be registered in Canada?

Question 4. If yes in question 1 then failure to notify the divorce would be an offence?

Please reply
