i have question ,,right now i m in saudia for umrah,, do i have to inform CIC after return

It's not important to inform CHC-Islamabad about your umrah.If you plan to stay in Saudia for more than 6 months,then you might need to be inform them.

Anyways Umrah Mubarak Sister and please dont forget all of us in your prayers.

Ecas actually is not related to nikkah or rukhsati. Its just a technical program that allows you somewhat see whats going on your file. I think your friend might be putting in wrong file number or other digits incorrectly.

That's a really good decision! Mine was going to be a nikkah only as well but we decided on the whole wedding instead. One of my friends had nikkah only and after 8 months, she is still unable to see/log in to E-cas, meaning her file has no progress, while mine, I was able to see it right after 2 months in E-cas. Not saying that this is the norm, but I do hear that only Nikkah slows down the process.

my husband is a Canadian citizen, he applied for my case in February 2013, I got my file back in 2 weeks asking for some missing forms then we re sent my application after abt 1 and a half month I got my file back again, asking for medical report n some forms n they have given me a specific time to send my application back that is by the end of may.
they have given me a uci number as well. I m confused. some one pls help.

My file was transferred July 2012. Only Allah knows when my husbands file will be completed!

I emailed CPP Ottawa and according to them it does not matter that your file went to Ottawa or Islamabad.. Your processing time is 28 months or more because you are from Islamabad.

Here is the email:

Good day,

Your file is being processed by the visa office in Islamabad.

It is part of a work sharing arrangement Ottawa has with Islamabad. While our office has part of your physical file, your application will be processed by an officer in Islamabad, according to the processing times of the Islamabad office. An agent from that office will contact you when more information is necessary.

The processing times for the Islamabad office are published on our website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp

Dear send email to OTTAWA pilot project with info of your file number and UCI number, they will reply if they have your file or not, coz the letter you get from MISSISSAUGA says that your file transferred to Islamabad but sometimes it gets transferred to OTTAWA like in my case, my file is in OTTAWA and they have confirmed it to me,

their email address is ottpilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca
