Ahhh after a long long wait got re-medical and additional docs request Allahamdu lillah....! hopes got refreshed lolzz :)

There is no backlog at the visa office. unfortunately what takes long in Pakistan is not the fact that there are too many application and not enough staff, for example in 2012 Islamabad received only 1311 spousal sponsorship applications while New Delhi in that same period received 5,388 spousal apps, Hong Kong 2535, Manila 3894...What is time consuming in Pakistan is verifying identities of the applicants, checking security and doing the background searches.

So in the end it is not CIC Canada that is to be blamed for the long processing, it is an internal problem in Pakistan (lack of records, lack of registrations of vital statistics within the Pakistani government).

Imm0008 asks How many family members including you are in this application form? My hubby is applicant n i m sponsoring him. Does he have to include his siblings n parents , myself, our baby? Baby is canadian citizen.

In the instruction guide this is what it says "Indicate the total number of family members included in your application. This includes yourself and any family members, regardless of whether they intend to accompany you to Canada or not."

My hubby has 3 siblings, both parents, and i m his wife and we havea baby who was born in canada. None of his siblings or parents r in canada or are citizens.

Also on supplementary forms it says "all imigration applicant must submit military completion or exemption certificate" what is that? my hubby never joined army does he have to submit exemption certiicate?

Plz advise.

AOA
how many people did you sponsor in you application at 1st place? other thing is your baby is Canadian you dont have to include baby in the application bcz your baby is already Canadian, and about "all imigration applicant must submit military completion or exemption certificate" what is that? my hubby never joined army does he have to submit exemption certiicate? just write not applicable

The so called internal problem has not surfaced over night, how come they were managing the process within 6-10 months before 2010 :' :-\

If the documents were returned to the sponsor in Canada then they are most probably being mailed by the Ottawa office so you can email them and ask them to return the remaining stuff too. We also faced a similar issue. Ottawa responded immediately and the remaining docs were received a week after emailing them.

On what email address you sent them an email ? Let me know asap...

thanks !

I am sorry to say but I totally disagree with you.

1- First Pakistan in 2009 was same even worst then what it is today but the immigration process use to take 6-8 months.
2- If you order GCM notes you will see that for more then a year out files just sit and take dust and no work is done, where is this fault of Pakistani government or system ?
3- Pakistan Nadra system is one the best and advance system in the world, there are alot and alot of countries in world for example in Africa which are very backword and alot more corrupt then Pakistan (even some with civil wars) but still their time line is way less.
4- And one of the thing that make me so angry when someone come and say about security check taking time in Pakistan.
4a: Tell me how on earth a Student can get a visa in less then 6 month with same security level check and not a spouse ?
4b: Also if security check take time it doesn't mean that someone from CHI is working 8 hours a day for 2 years to do security check , they just ask it then wait, and can work on other things, but seeing that our files take dust without been even opened (see point 2) you will understand that this is big BS. And sorry to say in Pakistan you can get things very fast if you are willing to.

All to say that if our Timeline is that bad, it is voluntary, they don't give Sh**t about us. They have openly said that, go read on CIC news that they prefer Indians as Immigrant in Canada. It is all politics, and we have no power and unity here to voice our concerns.

Yes it is our fault, the fault to stay silent and do nothing and say it is all Allah (SWT) marzi, (indeed it is) but Allah has also said that man don't get what he want if he don't do efforts. We just suffer and say nothing and the worst part once after suffering for years get what we want we forget and move on and don't help others and the cycle continues. You are same and I will be same too, once we will get Visa we will just forget it and that is where our fault is.

There are so many Pakistani living in Canada, why can't we just make an Association to defend our rights ? It is clearly a discrimination going on against us.

Why don't Pakistani's get together to form an association?

Simple. You answered your own question...

"We just suffer and say nothing and the worst part once after suffering for years get what we want we forget and move on and don't help others and the cycle continues. You are same and I will be same too, once we will get Visa we will just forget it and that is where our fault is."

That is why Pakistani's don't form an Association.
