CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

i dont understand why chc-islamabad takes so much time if we read about fraudulent cases mostly they are from india, Philippine, inshort other parts of asia rarely read any case from Pakistan even then indias cases solved in 3-4 months time frame and for us it is for 2-2.5 years i mean what are we suppose to do wait for them to approve us to live our life honestly i dont understand this process i mean how many application would b filed in a month if they want they can complete monthly files and we get out of this really frustrating situation in few months

well i dont know abt chc how many case cic send to chc but everyday cic is reciveing about avg 280+ files per day.

- Queue for initial review
- In Islamabad processing time is 32 months
- No Bring Forward date as of now.

LIKE THAT HELPS! I am kinda glad though that I sent additional proofs before the initial review (my trip info + pics etc.) I am planning another trip in Feb now and by the looks of it, they won't be touching my file anytime soon so I might update them again.

Im confused please help me out ..... Should we update chc with new information like if I make a trip to my spouse ..picz ticket with all these stuffs or wait for the letter ju chc will send us to update the file like additional information cuz someone told me that case ko ab cherna mat jab tak wo khud koe information na mangye. Kya karo main ....and mujhy yahan canada sa step 1 ka letter tu aya gaya huwa hai but my file is still in Ottawa .....tu meri fuke kab tak Islamabad jaye ge..it's husband case..kuch logo ka case within 15 to 19 month main approve be hu jaty hain what's the rreason behind it ?? Kya wo bar bar proof bhejty rehty hai kya ya reason hai kya I know its depend on ur luck too but koe tu reason huge and jab file Ottawa main huti hai tu canada waly tab kya kam kr rahy huty hain case pa?? Tab wo sponsor ka regarding information pa kam krty hain ya application sa regarding case pa kam krty hain

Usually it takes 3 to 5 weeks but now that Christmas is coming up and new year probably it will be a while.

I would say its depend on ur luck. My sister and I applied for our husband together and everything was same. Her husband is already here and I still don't know anything about my case :-(

Regarding updating your case. That is really up to you. Some people update their cases others never did. Is there a benefit in one or the other not really. (unless your in interview queue).

Regarding how fast your case is going to be approved, there is no standard time. It depends mostly on your luck and hopefully caring visa officer. Lastly 10% is how you portray your case (pics, chat logs,phone calls,gifts etc) but mostly 99% cases are genuine and they (chc) know that.

What happens in Ottawa, basically it collects dust. No work is being done whatsoever, it is a holding ground to be transferred to online database in Islamabad, where it sits until a visa officer decides to open your file.

Today CIC requested additional forms IMM0008, IMM5406, IMM669 and one other form which is for Pakistani nationals. Does anybody know why they are requesting this info again? I have already submitted these forms when I applied :S

Yes, nothing to worry about. They have created a tendency to request these forms when they open the applicants file for initial review. It's just to update their info since CHC has a long holding date (regarding files) they think changes may have occurred....
