Good time to order GMCS notes for your file.
After the initial review which is about 12 months after the AOR and when you are in the interview queue or unusually long delay in re-medicals or PPR etc.

So Set back all u guys and wait patiently

I need a little help i had created a topic but I think I should better ask here as the other people really don't understand it.

I have to apply for Quebec Selection certificate, on the Form they ask for a Family name (Nom de famille) before marriage, as You know in Pakistan there is no family name distinction especially for women there is most of the time Fathers name but in my wife case she didn't even have that and only have name composed of 2 female name. But after marriage as I know it was important here to have family name I put my family name plus my name instead of 2nd female name in her name.

Now there was no issue with CIC as they never ask family name before marriage but Quebec want it and they make it clear it should be the family name before marriage and not of the husband name.

So Now what should I do ? should I leave the field empty ? or put N/A ( S/O) or Pas de nom de famille ?

I am really confused, thanks for the help

I feel dizzy reading your post!!!! I am going to dig deep and speak with my MP and order notes now too!!!!

yes i would highly suggest you to check with your MP and ask specifically about the date when file got transferred to ottawa. Don't trust the date put on approval letter. i am sure my file was not alone to be transferred in 5 months, my MP told a full batch was transferred in october. im feb 2012 applicant.... for all applicants of dec 2011. jan,feb,march 2012 please contact MP or ask call centre agents the exact date when ottawa received the file because i got approval in May 2012 and letter stated that file was transferred in may 29,2012 and i remember sending email to ottawa in sept abt status of my application and they replied that file is in process.... so they sent me automatic replies... because in real they got my file in oct,2012.

ok so same here....called mp two weeks back....he said dat security check is going on......and now wen i got my gcms notes i came to know dat nothing has been done on the file....file was never in islamabad...from the start it was in Ottawa and medical in progress whereas criminality and relationship both are just not started.......the few additional proofs i sent in islamabad embassy....they have also been transferred to Ottawa....other than that nothing is done on the file.....i don't know wat is Ottawa's timeline but yeah i just know dat i'm in the 15th month since i've applied my file and its just sitting and relaxing in Ottawa..nothing has been done on it....sad but wat can we do except asking God for help!!!!

these MP's r really stupid.. my MP told me in January that your remedical request is on its way but i 2 days ago when i called her to say that i didnt get remecial request she said no you are not going to get any remedical request and background and security checks didnt start yet. Did you ask your MP the exact date when ottawa received your file?

What is your family name? Under that sub-heading insert your family name. For example: Ali (first name) and Javed (family name). Then for your wife you can put "sarah javed" instead of "sarah ali"....

you see, my spouse brought up an interesting point (she does sometimes , was a joke wify). If files were transfered to Ottawa in october, because there was no "setup" for the pakistani applicants that means now there offically is one. Since october, that being said, the pakistani section will start processing from nov 2012 applications right away. I mean CHC is working on jun-oct 2012 cases (some expections), however the pakistani team in ottawa is free to start with nov 2012 and beyond. That doesn't mean we were delayed significantly. If CHC completes in backlog lets say in april CPP-O will send it nov batch scanned and somewhat half processed to CHC whom may send out ppr with remed (in sh Allah). I mean Ottawa cant just sit on the pakistani file for (28 months) and get paid for free?, they will have to work on file hence the creation of the "setup".

AOA guys i m so disappointed by my mp's response app filed feb 2012 and received approval letter may 2012. i had contacted MP back in january 2013 and she said backgound security checks have not started yet but remedical request should be on its way.. so i got nothin and contacted her again 2 days ago... so today she called me and sent me an email too..... she said that your file was received feb 2012 and approved by mississauga in may 2012 but transferred to ottawa in OCTOBER 2012!!!!! i asked her that what was being done with the file from may to october it is 5 months time!!! she said that was the time taken my Mississauga to transfer the file to ottawa... OMG! i cant believe mississauga took 5 months to transfer my file.... she said you should start counting your time from october 2012. she gave me the exact date when ottawa received my file.She wrote this in the email background security checks not started, additional relationship proofs received in nov 2012 (which i sent voluntarily) but no selection decision done yet. ottawa will be processing files within the duration of isb which is 28 months. im highly disappointed.

that is the reason that ottawa has not started touching 2012 files because mississauga sent thm after 5 or 6 months to ottawa. that is why dec 2011 and 2012 january and feb cases have not received anything yet because my mp told that isb was full and it was impossible for missisauga to transfer files to isb so they were approving the files and holding them till ottawa program was setup for pakistan and then they sent files in batch to ottawa.. i remember one of the form member had also given this info but i thought that it happened only with his file but now i got to knw that it happened with a batch of jan feb march 2012... guys its high time... i really wana make a complain where can i complain??

I would say go for whats on the passport. My family name is different than my last name but I only put my last name there (same as my passport and other documents)

i wish what u r saying it happens.... but i have a friend whose friend is working in ottawa and he told that ottawa is currently on the files they received in april 2012 (probably those who applied in nov,dec 2011) Sad they got my file in oct so there are no chances they will starting lukin at my file before 6 months Sad

oh maybe thats why my MP said that Ottawa pilot project just started .. but then why they stocked up with our files in end of 2011 when the project just started. Idk too much information. can only wait and pray.

Thanks for reply. But I think you haven't read well or understood my probelm. There is no ali or javed or any other name in my wife name she has a composed female name and no father name in her name. She had a compsed name of 2 female name, i have no modern name example coming in my mind but it is like Aani Fatima, Razzia Sultana, Kaneez Fatima, So there is no family name or father name.

It is her first PP ant it was after marriage and it has my Family name in it + my name instead of her second female name.

There is no old PP etc.
