Hello everyone,

I am new here and have observed that people help each other a lot. I am a female Canadian permanent resident and do not work. I just got married in September and now I want to apply for my husband's immigration. I have some questions which I would like to be answered before I apply.

Can I come back to Pakistan after I submit his application?
How long can I stay in Pakistan after I apply?
Do I need to work and pay tax before I apply? Alternatively, to prove our financial stability, can my husband show his property and business documents?
If I wish to study, can I still apply for OSAP and be eligible for my husband's immigration?
Does he needs to go through medical exam before I apply for sponsorship or after that?

I applied in July 2012 still waiting for passport request. LVO totally forgot 2012 cases, I got remedical request after 26 months.

for those after tcs tracking numbers for chc, it hasn't posted any for monday... and if it does the numbers for the 24th will begin from 23014689939 on the 25th so start looking from this number onwards, all before this was various other shipments on sat and sunday.... hope this helps to those who like tcs tracking numbers


please note that their shipments sent out from chc are corresponding for the previous days....

Aoa all member,
I would like to share my happiness as Alhamdulillah I have recieved back my passport with visa yesterday.
It had been 2 year and 7 months since filed my application, but Alhamdullilah finally I'm out of this stress and excited to begin a normal married life ahead.
I would like to thank all the members on the form as their posts really helped me to wait patiently and to get to know what was going on with others.

The tracking # concept has really helped me as I would describe it as a miracle for me or else I might have lost my passport.

And congratulation to all the other members who are recieving Goood news and would like to suggest to hang in there, and soon you will all be out of this' situation..

Following are answers to your queries; hope it ll help:

- Yes you may come to Pakistan after sponsoring and getting AOR
- You can stay in Pakistan for FEW WEEKS only as per CIC rule. You have to assure and show your intentions to CIC that you both will stay in CA after getting PR.
- Not really; as sponsor does need to show the proof of finance, BUT you have to attach Option C form with you application.
- Yes your husband can attach his financial and business and salary slips in order to show that he is financially strong and will not be on welfare after landing in CA.
- IDK about this query, elaborate please.
- You can have upfront medical, and also it is mentioned in guideline and Checklist to attach med with application, but that is optional. You may send it later BUT it might delay your case.

Hi there,

I have a question to ask you.

I got my passport request. Alhumdulillah very happy with this news. In my passport request letter, this is what it said, "You should expect to be without your passport for 2 weeks, so don't arrange any travel that will require your passport during this period, If you have not heard from TCS after 2 weeks, you may contact us at the London office".

So my question is that they are saying 2 weeks does this mean I should get back the passport with the visa in 2 weeks?

If you don't mind, can you all share your passport received timelines from the time you got your passport requests preferably who all got similar verbiage in their passport request letter?

Q#1 - Yes you can come back after submission of Application
Q#2 - you can stay but better you keep it for max six months for safer side.
Q#3 - no compulsion of work or tax payments and no need to provide financial position etc.
Q#4 - yes you can take OSAP but make sure you dont have any immigration loan due.
Q#5 - NO. CHC will let you know about medical.

Salam, when did you become a permanent resident of Canada as the rules are different for Canadian Citizen and Permanent Resident. Its better to check with Immigration or Pass Port Canada......

You did remedical in August 2014? still waiting for passport request ?oh my God what LVO are doing??so LVO only busy in issuing remedical request since August to November and forgot them. only 10% lucky people got passport request.
