Hey guys,
Alhamdolillah my wife received ppr today from London office. We feel very lucky because ours was Nikka case and in interview que and still everything went without any major hiccups. I pray everyone gets to be with their loved ones very soon.

Great! That's awesome! MashaaAllah that's great news ... now things seems a bit clear. We can expect PPR from London alongside interview (if applicable) alongside other requests (medical and additional documents). This case shows a strong view that Islamabad is now almost out of the picture!

Thank you. My case interview included is 26 months so for clear cases it should be much quicker now it seems.

Interview was requested by London but carried out in Islamabad.
Passport copy goes to London coz Pakistani law prohibits sending passport overseas via mail. After they check copy of pp in London they issue visa and send it to Islamabad and they request original pp by mail and send back with visa on it. Its a two stage process.

In their email they said within 6 weeks after receiving copy of pp, Islamabad will request pp to put visa on it.

Man this is so confusing ... waiting101 yours is October 2012 case ... mine's January 2013 case ... both our files are in London. However, Marium Rizwan being in middle (November 2012 case) is not in London ... you can't even make a head or tail how this is going forward .... I sincerely doubt they follow first in first out ... its like give the officer a batch and its his/her discretion which one to choose ...

hmmm so if my husband comes to canada on visit visa and london asks his passport for pr visa he wouldnt need to go bak to pak. He could just mail his passport to london from Canada.?

hmmm so if my husband comes to canada on visit visa and london asks his passport for pr visa he wouldnt need to go bak to pak. He could just mail his passport to london from Canada.?

You can never send your passport overseas to another country. From what Kasam_se said, they requested a copy of passport and then your local embassy [Islamabad for Pakistan] will ask for the original passport so they can stamp the visa.

In short your husband will need to go back in any case once his passport is requested.

I wish I could help you with that. I had a really tough semester and hardly ever checked ecas. It says in process now but no clue when it changed
