Calling CIC from pakistan will give you a "busy tone". I believe you can't call from pak. (I had tried back in the days).

Alright so I had emailed CPP-O to notify them of a contact number change in pak. Their reply at the bottom. (Anyone get this response before?)

"You must use the CIC’s online form to change your contact information. Do not send change of address information to Case Processing Centre Mississauga or to CPP-O, it will not be acknowledged and your contact information will not be updated. It is your responsibility to keep your contact information current. Failure to keep your contact information current could lead to a delay or possible refusal in the processing of your application."

Dont know what they are talking about. This is what it says on the website:

Outside Canada
If you are outside Canada, you must contact the Canadian visa office where you submitted your application to change your address.

I email CIC-O exactly a week ago today and haven’t heard anything from them at all. I guess they respond to emails as they please. I hope my 2nd supporting package went to the right place.

In my opinion, the CNIC, NICOP, POC and Pakistani passport (the machine readable one specially) should not be required to be attested.

Since NADRA is verifying everything before issuance of these computerized docs, a photocopy should be sufficient for acceptance.

Is there anyone here whose photocopies were NOT accepted for passport and identity card, etc?

:o :o

if u read Pakistan guide (Country Specific Instructions) carefully it clearly says they require certified copy of current plus all previous passports and CNIC

12 IDENTITY AND CIVIL STATUS DOCUMENTS

Nationals of Pakistan:
The following documents are required for you, the principle applicant, and for each of your dependent family members, if applicable to your situation:

•Certified copies of your national identity card (CNIC).

please read Whole Pakistan Guide carefully

Just photocopy of passport or CNIC is not acceptable anywhere ..then how come immgration office will ??
if only photocopies are submitted by someone it will be a suicide of his immgration process.. Specially for Pakistanis from whom they require ORIGINALS of ALL documents

passport and cnic, can be be photoshopped and printed... so they want you to send in certified copies... basically this way its the notary republic or high end officer that confirms that you are staying true to the documents and arent missinforming or forging anything...

Salam everyone! i called call centre today to inquire abt my case being processed in ottawa. Agent said that processing time is same as it is for isb. Ottawa had emailed me that application is in process, so agent said you should presume that your file is being worked on. He gave all this this info without taking my UCI or file#. He said ottawa is just helping isb. 2 agents gave the same info

Yes. Clearly I didn't get that response. Now I will have to contact CHC-I. Let's see what they say. (Last time they said my file wasn't there).
They just make you run around in circles.....
