Hey Canadian, I got my PPR on march 29 today on 2nd April embassy has received my passport. How long it will take to get back my passport with visa stamped.

"Dear Sir,

I have applied for my wife's sponsorship. Please update me the status of our application. Also, I heard that regular mail system in some areas of Karachi is poor, would it be possible for you to correspond through TCS? I'd appreciate it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this email."

and this is what they sent in reply,


"Dear Client,


In response to your email, please be informed that this application is in process, and that background checks are now over. Please be advised that in the next few days our office shall be sending you a PHEP letter, and also instructions to undergo a medical examination.


If any further information is required you will be contacted. In the meantime, please wait patiently while the application is processed."



what should I make out of this email? thanks

They are conducting a 2nd background check on your application. They will send you PPR once your background checks are over.

Once they receive our passport with remedical, how long do you think will they take to send the passport back with stamp? Also, do you think they will do another background check once they receive the requested information? thx

It can take anywhere from 45-60 days for the passport to come back with Visa if its a wife case. If its a husband case, then it can take longer as they conduct a 2nd background check. But i think yours is a wife case so it will come within 2 months or so.

2nd background check ??? How many times do they do it ??? AND what DOES BACKGROUND CHECK suppose to mean?I really don't understand this, Do they check our background from certain departments of our country?THANX IN ADVANCE (danny brother)

I heard that even in wife cases they r doing background checks after remed or repcc!
