May be responsible peoples have listened and truely understood the meaning of the song "Dheere Dheere se meri zindagi mey ana" so they reliazed that they need to process the couples file Dheere Dheere in 24 months rather than in 6 months. Just my guess

Could you please explain your case because I'm very shocked that your processing time is almost 14 months while the current processing time is 24 months?

My friend recieved PPR last week in 15 months, its vary case to case..

sister, let me share a valuable piece of information ............ the individual who responds or receives your emails has nothing to do with your case finalization ......... he/she is a part of cutomer service unit of CHC-ISB and I know you guys will raise eye brows to the word SERVICE ........ so by writing all the personal stuff you are only entertaining him .......... he is not a case assesser ( a desi) to evaluate your marriage being culturally done or not ....... nor he is a Visa officer (gora Bahdur, bahadur because he is in our coward country) ........ baqi roney main koi haraj nahi hey ........ I was actually promoting a group moaning with some chest beating in TOronto

Questions:
1) Why do you think that Pakistan is "coward" country?
2) Where are you from originally?

I really wonder how come someone could use words like *coward* for his "own" country/home land.
Every country is dealing with some kind of issues and Pakistan has its own issues and dealing with those but I didn't get the idea that how come we have become a coward country? Are we gone from the map of the world?

What drove you to call Pakistan as "coward country"? 1965 war? 1971 war? current war? current issues? literacy rate? what is it? I am curious...

Well hello everyone!!!! I've been off for a super long time... just caught up. Sooo what someone please update me with the good news that came in during my time away! I had sent in a change of address letter to CHC about 3 weeks ago....it hasnt been updated nor have i gotten a receipt :

Good to see you after a long time! Infact I was thinking about you yesterday, last time you came online you said you were going to sit in the etekaaf, Mubarak on that!

Hmm well, the update is that myself, khan sis, humaumair and a few more have received visa already, and lots have received PPRs or news about getting PPR.

You might be right man...........
but if you ever had a chance to come across CAIPS notes its clearly mentioned when & how many case specific inquiries you have made. Infact each email becomes a record entry in CAIPS still it doesn't mean it effects your case but the officer who reviews your file does have an idea how frequently you have bugged 'em

I don't get this, can anyone explain why do I have two applications shown under Sponsorship Application Status. (1) Decision was made about sponsorship in September 2010, and they started processing the application on Sep 13th and Islamabad visa office received the application for permanent residence on Sept 20th.

And now (2) it is showing again as in process. It also shows that we started processing your application in Dec 2010, but under permanent Application status it shows that Permanent Application received on Sep 20, 2010, same as the first (1) one.

When I use my wife info and immigration file # to check the status, it only shows that Islamabad Visa office received your application on Sep 20, 2010.

Has anyone seen this kind of online status too?

I only intend to take half of my jewellery the first time, as I'll be going alone. The big sets and all I've left behind and will take them Inshallah in the next year or so when I've my husband traveling with me. Other than that, obviously I plan to declare all that I'll be bringing into Canada, even the stuff I don't have the first time. I've been recommended to take pictures of my jewellery sets which will stay in Pak and come at a later date. That way, I've proof and I've also gotten it apprised monetarily because I don't have jewellery receipts for wedding gifts/ salami etc etc.

Zee how do you intend taking your jewellery?
And what is your wife doing wes bhai?
I have lots of jewellery, would be bringing 95% of it. I think I'll put it in a carry on, as it wont fit in my handbag:s Does it have to be valued per set, or the total value of all jewellery I'll be bringing? As I received some as gifts, some is khandaani and I bought very little new stuff so i dont have receipts

I think they work in batches..maybe applicants who applied in a given week of the month/ given month get responses almost together, because I've noticed that when they sent out PPRs or other forms. And there isn't only one decision maker or reviewing officer. Ofcourse they'll be many, so it makes sense that similar AOR dated people rcv responses at almost the same time, assuming the files don't get objections or have missing information and so on.

Address story was there the first two times for my IMM and Re-med forms. At the time of my PPR, my address didn't disappear and my PPR came.. so the theory does have some merit but it's not correct altogether.

My address is back on after 22 days. This is really a mystery. If rumour is true that if the address is missing then they are working on your file or will be requesting something from you. My question is do they work in batches? How can they work on all files at once? I hope this is true because then we can all expect something in the mail...I hope AMEEN.

Wes, Khan82, PPH, zeee and others who recieved PPR...did you notice your address appearing and re-appearing when you recieved PPR mail?

I second became-a-loner. Speedy process is the outcome of proper filing of application and evidence, NOT emails sent 4 times a month. Sending emails has worked for some and hasn't for some. Just emailing is NOT enough to expedite the immigration procedure.

I agree brother ............ but Ross Hynes and Kenny are the one to be bugged, not that customer service guy who sends you the same copy paste response, he should not be the audience of our personal story because it is only for his fun time hours ........... I understand the good intentions of sister Khan but I believe the reason her case was finalized so quickly was because of her childhood love with her husband and probably his security check was not detailed .............. I dont think it was due to those emails she was sending them ......... I personally know this guy who would sent exactly two mails a week one on sunday night and one on wed night and it took him exactly 25 months to get his visa......... its not the emails its about how the relationship evidence and story is provided to those gangsters.

“Purchased a brand new 198x/197X model spouse in excellent working condition and certified with degrees and other certificates. Wes how's it goin? I got a question, they say that we don't have to apply for a PR card and we get it automatically as part of the immigration process! So where do they send the card? Which address? Or do they give it to you upon landing?

Whichever address you provided in the application there was a question on the application "where you intend to live?" It is also shown on the landing paper you have received with the VISA and they also confirm it at the airport during immigration...
