Following is timeline for my wife's sponsor...

Application Recieved: Sep 09, 2010
Sponsorship approved by CPC-M: 07 Oct, 2010
Application transferrd to CHC-ISL: 07 Oct, 2010

Since than we haven't heard anything from the immigration office yet neither got an accknowledgement letter in Pakistan. What I need to do in such case?

They have stopped sending Acknowledgement letter since Oct 2010. So nobody got AOR letter since Oct 2010. You should check for updates on the CIC website under application status using the client ID#. Currently, they are working on the first and second quarter of 2010 applications, so it would take some time for them to reach the Oct applications. If you want to find out the file number of the person being sponsored then ask that person to email Islamabad Embassy(the email is on the CIC website) telling them that there was no receipt of AOR. Make sure you give them the client ID#, name of the person sponsoring and the date of birth. They will automatically give you the file number with a generic response that your file is in qeue. This way you can get the file # of the person being sponsored. Using that file# the person being sponsored can go on the CIC website and check the status and updates.
