I doubt that!

My wife is a March 2010 AOR. Got Caips in December 2010 and had nothing on it except for that the file is sitting in the storage area. Her file was opened for initial review in Feb 2011.

CAPIS are wast of time and $5.00 - I would rather spend that money on coffee or something.

Have you heard the saying "More you know, More it hurts". Sometimes it better to sit back, relax and leave everything up to Allah.

InshAllah everything will be fine.

Assalam O Alaikum Everyone,

I have been lurking around these boards for a while. Finally decided to register recently.
Reading this forum has been very depressing; knowing what some people had to go through to be with their partners and how long it took them to get the Visa. I have gained quite some knowledge over the past couple of months while reading this forum. Thanks to the knowledgable posters who have helped alot of people on here.

I applied for my wife in Dec 2010 and got a letter in January 2011 that the application has been sent to Islamabad. I was waiting for my wife to recieve the AOR but i recently learned that they stopped sending AOR's after Oct 2010. I want to know if they still assign a file # to a case as they are not sending AOR's anymore. I am aware that i can send them an email and find out her File #, but what if i don't want to contact them regarding the file # ? Does it make any difference ? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Yes I read your post and I don't know what to say. The problem with this process is that it is so different for everybody that you can't figure out the next step or don't know what to expect. I am sorry but I think you will not know anything untill you receive something in writing form the embassy.

If you don't want to send an email, you don't have to. You only need file number because you gotta quote it if you are sending anything to them either via fax, email or post.
