I know that it would be foolish to ask but no harm asking....how does this bring forward date work? Any formula CIC apply or it all depends upon the officer?

I have the same question too. From what I've understood so far, unfortunately it's not all about the BFD alone. If the background or security checks are not over by the time a BFD comes, they give another BFD.

i was sponsored by my hubby in canada in sept/oct 2010
he got letter in march 2011..since den my file was transferred here at Islamabad...
in may 2012,request letter was sent to me which i didnt get...through courtesy of MP,ontario..got copy of dat letter...
i have submitted documents dat they required like,photos,bills,emails etc along wid police certificate...i submitted dem on 25th of july....since den m waiitng for any news or letter etc...
plzzzz anyone help me out n guide me how much time left

No one can guide you about time here, CHC-I is so unpredictable. but if I were in your situation, I would bug my MP more often, and also order GCMS notes. Only then would I get a clearer picture as to what is happening to my case.

today i got my GCMS report,,,according to it ,, nothing has started,,,no bckground cheking hs evn started,, i ve submitted my remedical in april and since then am waitng for PR,,,but this gcms brought sad news for me ,,,its really inhuman wid us ,,with all 2010 cases,,,
while few days back MP said that your file is ready ,,evrything is done,, then why they are not updating it in GCMS REPORT??????????????????????????????????? dnt know whts happening in chc,,,
aisa kbi hua kisi k sath ,,, mp is telling another story while GCMS is completly opposite,,it seems like those chc ppl lied to mp or in order to get rid off us mp just made a fake story

GCMS Notes are timestamped from when they received your file notes request (30 days ago i assume) vs MP just updated you few days ago. MP update would be more recent vs notes.

Guys I Hv something to tell u ...might be helpful ....When CHC lost my remed results. We wrote them an emotional email letter and I think it worked for us ...We mentioned them each and every thing that how we r suffering and how hard it is for my hubby to move back to pakistan bc of lawlessness and unemployment situation ..and how depression affecting our work ability and our son is having inferiority complex when he sees other kids with their daddy ..It was a v long letter ...could make everyone cried ..( In mp's inquiry just after 2 days they replid to mp that med results hv been found).After that we emailed them 2 more times regarding status ..they didn't reply any of them
They answered after 2.5 month but not recent mails but that old one (emotinal)That we hv sent u ppr .SO we still think that they could delay the case more as many others of my timeline r waiting BUt may be that letter worked for us .and Ofcourse prayers did workout always for me Like magic
U guys also LET them know how badly it is affecting ur life.How ppl around u ridicule over this claim that we will be reunite with our spouses soon.Tell them all the misery of ur life.Raise ur voice ..This is the least u can do.

Bring Forward date is usually 30, 45 or 60 days depending on the immigration officer and the type of requests they send. Meanwhile the local staff puts the file after reviewed in a queue and upon receiving the documents put them in the file. So whenever the requested documents are attached to the file, it comes in the queue to be reviewed as complete. Once your turn comes, the officer reviews the file and decides on the next step. Again, he would put another bring forward date on the file to be reviewed after the documents are received.

Sis you should not call him ....... go and meet him ..... they will ask u to fill up a form ....... plus i would suggest dont meet the people in front desk just book an appointment with " Manager Constituency Affairs "
