Okay it could mean that they have put a bring forward date after your wife's due date and if thats the case then they will ask for all the things they need inorder to further process your wife's file after the birth of your child. Your wife can't get her X-ray done for the medical if she is pregnant (not safe for the baby).

Thanks guys for your responses. I really appreciate. But asking more questions so that I know from your experience.

Ok! Will that mean that no progress will be made on my file; not a background check etc. I mean to say nothing will happen for now and all this will start all over again after the birth?

It's been 23 days since I ordered GCMS notes ..Hvn't got them yet..even though $5 has been deducted 5 days ago!

Did your MP tell you that CHC_ISB are working on aug till dec 2010 cases now days? ?Is this authentic ?

I do not have any reason to believe that my MP's secretary will tell me a lie. She sounded very confident that they have just started working on the file; as she asked them the status and told them that the baby is expected by the end of Sep 2012; and that I would like to celebrate in Canada soon after the birth along with wife and child. I did not ask her what date they are processing. I know two cases who got their file in CHC - Islamabad in Nov 2010 and they were asked for PCC and re-medical in Feb 2012.

How is that possible when they have not yet called for second medical and PCC? I am not being pessimistic; but I am really concerned that they might drag it much longer.
No it happens with many ppl in different forms that they send the medical along with the passport request along with police clearance certificate.Ure case is wife case & u applied on Dec-2010.From the post exp in the form wife case dont tk much time.So dont b in doubt surethings by the blessing of Allah ure spouse will get the ppr & medical v soon.

My guess is based on a few cases similar to yours I have seen on this forum. It doesn't necessarily mean that they won't do anything on your wife's file, it all depends on your Visa officer. If they have done the background check already before the review, then they wouldn't need another check but they would still want to see a police clearence certificate. So yeah, it could mean 2-3 months after your child's birth to get Visa. You will have to apply for a passport for your child as he will be Canadian born outside Canada. So you being a Canadian citizen would save you time instead of adding the child to the application if you were a permanent citizen.

It won't start all over again, just from the point where your application was first opened for initial review and from the time when you informed them about your wife's pregnancy. So you can say about 3-4 months more post your child's birth.

If you read his case details, his wife is 5 months pregnant and didn't get a re-medical request yet. "Champ" had a different case and his wifes re-medical was done in the early period of pregnancy. The doctors don't recommend the X-rays as the rays can cause risks to the health of the baby.

You might have to wait longer as they are taking more than 30 days for GCMS requests. I got mine in 33 days last time and this time it might be close to 45 based on what a couple of people told me.
