hi anyone can guide me...i mail cic Islamabad for my wife file No...they reply me but didn't give me my file no & they told that my application is currently in process and is in queue for initial review.Now plz tell me what does it mean??????????plz

Did they not mention the file number on the top starting with F ?

Sometimes they don't if the sponsor is emailing so tell your wife to email them using her email ID.

Okay then you need to get your spouse to email CHC-I as Wes bhai suggested.

So this means if ur file transfered in 17 March'2011 so u suppose to b April Aor'2011 N within 7 months u received Re-Pcc+ plus Nikkah case tht what i heard as well no objection...... It suppose to come on genius world records tht CIC Isb left Nov,Dec 2010+ Jan ,Feb,March'2011 all behind N directly given a long Jump on April '2011 Aor Amazing..........sis i'll suggest u to double check wht ur Hubby tht may b u r April'2010 Aor tht will make more sense.

thts really great our case was applied in feb 1st..n recvd aor on 17 march since thn waiting

oh i think i forgot to written year ..thts is 2011 feb my hubby applied from canada. n we got online aor in 27 june file transfer in 17 march

yes i applied in jan 25 2011 n my file transfer in march 17 2011, thn i emailed in 2011 june to get my file no , or u can say aor (which they didnt sent by theirselves) so in response of tht emailed i got my file no thts it.

Its not shocking at all, the trend has been like that since 2009. I remember people were getting PPR from June/July even August 2010 AORs and my wife was Mar AOR and I used to feel the same. I am sure you have seen lots of cases that got done in 12-13 months from the year 2010, its just gonna be like those cases whats so shocking about it? Plus 80% cases get done in 26 months, so all other 70% cases are done earlier. You guys should still be thankfull to Allah becasue there are alot of applicants who are still waiting since 2009 and early 2010 including saggit and nosheen1 and babar shah and a few more. Think about those people what they must be going through at least you guys are in somewhat better situation.

wes bro, do you know any details of why so much delay , were they nikah only ? or there were any other complexities involved in these cases ?

Yes every case is different and unique and treated differently, some were nikah only, some had lots of work/travel history therefore longer background checks. Some cases were pretty simple but just because the officer didnt feel like giving the VISA so it delayed for no reason.

I would take it as a great news as it make me feel more hopeful about all the old pending cases. It could be that since the parents applications have stopped coming in due to "2 Year Pause" to clear the backlog the VOs now have more time to work on the spouse category files? Who knows.
