Hey everyone, what does it mean when they say background checks are underway?

it means that still they are in process of your background check

Dear Client,

This is in response to your email (see below).

Your application is currently in process and is in queue for review by an immigration officer. Applicant's file is currently in queue for background checks initiation.

Oh yes, i check my ecas everyday! It says in process

it mean they didnot issue your hubby's visa yet. sent them receipt of payment to CHC-ISB

Assalam alaykum guys,

I have a question and would appreciate if you guys give me some answers. Is it really necessary for the e-cas to change to "decision made" in order to know that the visa has been stamped? I mean my e-cas never changed from "in process" even when I was done with my re-meds. What is the criteria actually? Please the ones who have received their visas! Did the e-cas change to "decision made" for all of you? Or anyone got his/her visa while his/her e-cas stated "in process" ?

It's a wife's case, and my husband emailed and faxed the receipt on 16th oct they have acknowledged it as well via email. So i am the one who is waiting to go to my husband :) , thanks

once they issue your visa your ecase changed from in process to Decision made. i.e i sent my passport on 5th and my ecase status change from inprocess to Decesion made on 11th Nov.

There are cases I know in which even after getting the visa, their e-cas showed "in process" e.g. my in-laws got their visas and even after that it stated "in process". So, I guess it is pretty random... :l
