Hi Awaiting 2012. Please see the cases on the google spreadsheet. There are many people closer to your timeline still waiting. Sorry but its true.

I know looking at this doesnt make my feel any better lol. already feel much worse. but hope is all we have so gotta hold on to it right? i would advise the same to ya'll. Good to see people here consoling each other. this wait game is getting on my nerves

is there a possibilty that CHC-I start initial review after 5 or 6 months? not for everyone but for some cases? or is it their hard and fast rule to initialy review the file after 10-12 months?

Yeah I know this would just be good for you to plan a visit to Husband knowing there is still time left in processing and there are other people also going through the same wait.

If you know around the time you should expect to hear from CHC then it sort of helps you plan your life better accordingly. Otherwise if you keep waiting any min now there will be a visa then you just go crazy lol (speaking from experience)

There are no hard and fast rules there lol! Some cases get done faster than others so if you are lucky and have a straight forward case with a lot of evidence and no complications then there are chances you will get done faster but as you can see some straight forward cases too had to wait long time 17-19 months so there are no rules.

Increase from 21 to 24 months was in July, there was an other update from 24 to 26 Months in October which is still in process of getting updated on the website. I don't mean to disheart you but I thought I'd correct you before you start questioning A few people from October 2010 transfers have received PPRs but alot of them are still waiting...

No there isn't. The file opens after 10-12 months no matter what. However, it is possible that some applicant's get their processes finalized within 1-2 month after initial review while others can take up to another 12 months after initial review...

Im Depressed after hear the news from MP. They said i will have to wait another 3-7month before we can get a answer. File is in Queue for review, This is BS Its been 17months for my wife's case and have a 11month old daughter. ReMedical and all the updated forms were mailed and received by Islamabad Aug 25th, 2011. Oct 4th All the Documents were attach with the file for review. I DONT UNDERSTAND my wife's case is straightforward No travel or work. Do you guys suggest ECAS to see what exactly is going on?

I have been reading the posts here, so I became quite interested and registered. My case like many others is pretty straightforward, I got married last year in june 2010 and my husband ( A canadian citizen ) applied for my sponsership around october '10, and my application in isb offices was received on 12th nov'10, I just recently lookd up the cic website and got concerned as they just increased the frikkin time span from 21 months to two years. Its so depressing and disheartening, as it's been such a long wait, and circumstances have been such that i havent seen my husband for almost a year now. I feel i can relate to a lot people over here who are in the same situation as me. Any updates from people who are close to my timeline?

Time has increased but recent one got PPR shows that the time line actually decreased to 16 to 20 months ....... worst case scenario ur case is in 80% then it would be 24 months ... depends on where u have traveled ..... if ur case is with no travel history .... and its marriage with nikah and rooksati .... you have sent all the documents ......... ur pictures with written names on top and how do they relate to u ..... and telling them how did u meet how u got married .... plus last but most important if you have sent them ur phone bills showing u hav been talking on phone .... ur receipts or bills showing that u have been doing dinnerz lunch together and if ur husband has been helping you by sending ya money does not matter how much and if he has been filing tax as being married with u .... than ur case would be done in 16 months most probably ..

You mean order CAIPS? Yes do that to see whats going on, it might give you a better idea. MP probably just told you that because the timeline has increased to 26 months and he/she doesn't want to look into your process if its within the timeline.

I know its bitter but thats the worst case scenerio if you have lots of travel/work/education/personl history....

If its a straight forward case you are looking anywhere between 16-20 Months

PS. I know people who are still waiting since 2007/2008 and a few from early 2010 still...
