Dear Sir/Madam

I am enquiring about the status about my husband's application. Please kindly let me know the status of the application, it would be greatly appriciated.

That's all i wrote and they replied back after one day.

I think they reply if there is somthng new in the case.. like yours case your file is with decision making officer... and our cases still in background checks.. so they are tired replying us same thing again and again.. and they will reply if there is something new

I always contacted my MP to find out the status .. and i always got a reply.

There was this one time when i wrote them an email just as short as i could but never received any reply :(

Most of the time they mail the letter, unless they personally want to ask you questions about your spouse because it has happened before.
I heard they ask your spouse's date of birth and colour of the eyes questions like that. So all the forum members be prepared to answer the questions if the embassy calls you. Don't panic !!!!! Take a deep breath and answer the questions properly.

Hello Everyone,,,

I have been following this forum for the last few months. I have decide the wait is to long and going to visit my husband and spend few months in Pakistan. My case is pretty straightforward and all documentation proof was provided when file was transferred to Islamabad. My question is there anything that I can do well Im in Pakistan to speed up the process. Has anyone ever tried making an appointment with embassy to speak to officer regarding there case well visiting Pakistan ?

Also my husband's passported expired in Oct. 2010 and since has renewed passport, should we proceed in sending embassy copies of new passport or wait until request is made from Embassy regarding Passport.

Timeline - Husband Case
June 4 2010 min. requirment meet file transferred to Islamabad
July 22, 2010 - online showing that Islamabad has started to process file
Aug. 9, 2010 - Supplementary info form plus photos & proof of communication forward to Embassy.
Nov. 9, 2010 - Email request sent to Embassy inquiring about my current status
Nov. 16, 2010 - rec'd email form Embassy application in process & in queue to be reviewed.
Jan. 25, 2011 - sent 2nd email inquirying about my current status. Rec'd reply back same day that "Your application is currently in process and is in queue for initial review."

Dear friend there is nothing u can do to speed up the process. I was also in pakistan with my huby i contacted CHC Islamabad wanted to take apointment & talk abt my husband application they refused, even if u're citizen they won't receive u only in case ur passport expired to have new one or to register a child or something like that otherwise they'll tell u if u want to have any infos regarding ur husband case u need to send email or fax. Plz note embassy will never tell u what is the actual status of ur husband application. U just need to inform them that u're with ur huby & send them pics or anything like that. Regarding new passport u better send them a copy or just inform them abt it via email or fax good luck.

I think my case is stuck because of some reason. I have not received re-medical and embassy is not replying to emails :( Sucks
