Charged with crime and found not guilty

Dear Members,

I am applying for a visitor visa for my father. He was charged with crime for which he got arrested for a short while. But in the course of action, found not guilty and acquitted of all charges.

Now while filling a visitor visa, I see a below question:
"Have you ever committed, been arrested for, been charged with, or convicted of any criminal offence in any country?"

What do I need to fill here? Yes or No

If I have to fill Yes, will that impact visa application in negative way?

1. You (your father) has to answer yes. He was arrested and charged.
2. Then you have to submit proof of the acquittal with the application.
