Hey guys
Yeaterday I was unknowingly driving in the wrong way and cops caught me and charged me a violation ticket mentioning driving without due care in Vancouver, British Columbia. And now I got 6 demerit points in my driving record.

I'm an international student and I'm worried if I would get my work permit after completing my studies.

I would really appreciate if anybody can help me in this matter.
Thanks

Driving offences need to be federal crimes before they affect admissibility. It falls under provincial law and is not criminal (as opposed to dangerous driving which is). You'll be fine.

Thanks alot for you're reply. I was tensed these 2 days. Now I got some relief. Thanks alot again.

Nope. It won't have any impact on your work permit. Just be careful next time! You could have committed a criminal offense had you collided with someone by driving down the wrong side of the road. This is not a criminal offense.
