Hi! I am Filipino citizen and I’m currently living in Canada as temporary foreign worker. My husband is here too as temporary foreign worker. We are planning to get our divorce on April and we will be filing our permanent resident application separately. I just to know if I should change my marital status and my family name first from married in Philippine embassy before applying for permanent residency?
