changing mode of application URGENT

Hello All,

I am willing for getting visa for Septemeber joining . I started with online study permit application, however, I have got a feeling it would be delayed, and I am not sure which financial documents to upload, so fearing rejection, I wish to change my application mode to offline/Paper based through VFS?

I have not paid any fee, no completion of application , not uploaded /completed any documents yet.
Can I still switch my mode of application?
I visited nearest VFS, the enquiry guy just said, since you started online, now you cant apply again. It will be double entry.
But If I have not paid or completed the application, how can it be a double application?

PLease please respond. I am getting too nervous that I have commited a grave mistake by chosing online

If you didn't finish the online application, didn't submit and didn't pay the fees then login to MyCIC under 'Continue my profile / application, not yet submitted' section you can just delete the profile. And then you can go to VFS and apply on paper. Don't even mention the online application it will just confuse them, it's not a duplicate tell them its the first time you're applying. I actually did the same thing, I started the online one and then changed my mind and applied on paper through VFS.
