Hello everyone!

Hoping for some quick advice here.

I am coming to the end of my WHV here in Canada, and wish to change from a WHV to a Student Visa early next year. I already have an offer from a College here in BC.

I was just wondering, do CiC recognize a spouse's job offer in Canada as a means of Proof of Funds? My spouse and I live together, and for me to further my education here in Canada, some of the finances for tuition and living will be coming from her salaried position.

Is changing from a WHV to a Student Visa a straightforward process?

Thanks everyone!!

Also, forgot to mention, we are already in Canada and have accommodation available to us :)

For study permit applications, CIC is looking for proof of funds in the form of an existing/available bank balance (not future funds that will be coming from a salary). The balance should be sufficient to cover first year tuition + $10K in living expenses.
