I was not aware that the visa processing times did not include the actual delivery of the visa (I know, completely my fault) and so I had booked my flight for when I wouldn't have received my visa yet. I can have the flight dates moved but I was just wondering if I would have to reapply for my tourist visa again, or if I should notify anyone about the changes in my travel dates, or would it not matter since if granted the visa, the minimum visa (single entry) is good for use within six months anyway? Would not notifying the embassy of the changes in my travel dates result to my visa not being granted? I would appreciate some advice. Thank you.

Hi,

It's not a good idea to book plane tickets before a visa is issued.

IRCC will consider your purpose of visit rather than your flight dates. It will not really matter if you inform the visa office about the change in your travel plans. Hope the reason you're visiting is not date-specific/limited to specific dates which would lapse before a TRV is issued

Cheers

Thank you for the response, Bryanna! I was just worried since I even included the air tickets in my application, thinking that it would be helpful... If what you say is true, then I shouldn't be too worried. I am just going for general tourism.

Yes, it's no issue if you don't travel on the dates you originally wrote. I always traveled with my TRVs on different dates than I what wrote in my application. :)
