Changing Employer on a Closed Work Permit

I'm currently working in Ontario on a closed wok permit under CETA with the intention of receiving a permanent job offer in order to apply for PR. However, the job is driving me crazy and I have a feeling my boss is going to change his mind about giving me a permanent job offer due to slow business. I get the impression I'm being strung along until I am no longer needed or my work permit expires.

I've been looking into other options and it appears that this is still my best bet to obtain PR, however with another employer. I found a page on the CIC website that very briefly explains a process for transferring my work permit to another employer but I haven't been able to find out any other information. Can anyone shed some more light on this? Is it an option for me if I were able to find another employer willing to file a LMIA, etc?
