Changing DLI in the middle of first semester

Hi guys,
I have a very complicated situation, please help me.
I entered Canada on Aug 19, and Im in the middle of first semester. Im a PhD student and I want to change my university and start another PhD program in a very better university.

I know that I can change the DLI, but is it ok if I leave the current program in the middle of this semester or should I wait until the end of that?
Please help me, Im really stressed

No one here is going to be able to tell you for certain since the recent rule changes are so new.

If you want to play it safe and make sure you have no issues, finish one complete semester and then change schools.
