Changing courses after getting Study permit

Dear all,

As beginning I applied to study post graduate (1 year program) and I have got the study permit approved. Currently I am in Canada, is it possible for me to change to another Major at Different level with different length of study (2-3 years)?
AND
If the course I want to change to is not available immediately, what will happen to my current study permit?

You can change the course and college anytime but you need to Notify the change in DLI number(in case of college change) via mycic. I will not recommend to change the course which is available later or in the next sem because waiting time(between now and when you resume college) can give you problem later if you want to apply for immigration like PR or PGWP because that time period will count as a break and they may think you did job on cash or somethink which is unauthorized work.
