Hi guys, hope you all are well.

I had visa refusal for Jan 2020 intake for financial planning at Fanshawe, I applied on my own and probably messed up in SoP.

Now, I’m applying again for may 2022 intake through a consultant. They are suggesting to apply for supply chain management as very few colleges have financial planning for may intake and most are closed.

My profile:

10th - 44%
12th - 53%
B.Com - 60%
MBA - 68%

I completed my MBA in 2019 from UK and straight away applied for Canada for Jan 2020.

I have now improved my IELTS score and have added work experience

New IELTS scores - L-9, R-7.5, W-6.5, S-7, O-7.5
Work experience - 1 year at an accounting firm

I don’t mind studying supply chain but I have concerns that V.O might think what made me change course and maybe too desperate.

I’m really confused about what to do. Any suggestions? Will changing course have negative effect on visa? Should I wait for Sept intake for FP?

Thanks

You will get a rejection if you apply for SCM with your profile as there's no correlation with your previous studies or work experience.
You will also likely get a rejection if you apply to an irrelevant college program after completing an MBA in the UK.

It also depends which college you are applying for. I have same background. I was rejected 3 times for visa. Now probably I have left hope feeling I have wasted my life and money. But do you have admit from any college? Apply ASAP for sep 2022. And make sure you work on the reason for which your visa was rejected earlier.

VO is very strict when it comes to the chosen program. You MUST choose something you have already studied or have experience in. I am in the same boat so I have to get a study permit based on my chosen program and then go and change my DLI once in Canada. I want to change my career completely and VO won't understand that so will lose some money in the bargain but at least I can study something I really want to pursue.

Financial planning is worst you can do to yourself, you will not find job bro you will end up working in labour, because no one asks for this course. Yes SCM is in demand but your profile will change you have to convience VO why you want to change. If consultant is asking you to change that too holding a MBA from UK and now changing to SCM , how can you put your career in that consultant hand at the first place. Half of consultants are newbies, unprofessional don’t know things. I suggest you apply for course which is in demand in Canada otherwise forget Canada bro go to other countries. Financial planning is already filled with Canadian citizens why would they entertain a outsider in this field. Think and act. Like you there are 1000 applicants who have scored 8 band and 80-90% in MBA but if the field is not in demand then what? My friend got rejected with 8 band and 84% in pg, so your profile is more higher level, doing MBA from UK. The first question is why he did not find a job in UK

Dude, you get admission for accounting related course since you have work experience in that field. Also I think Commerce student will get relevancy in accounting no issue with VO
