Changing consitions from WORK Permit to STUDY Permit within Canada

Hi,

Anybody did change his/her condition from wp to study visa.? or from wp to visitor?
..My open work permit and my husbands main wp will expire dec 31 2012. i have applied for CEC in May and have an AEO, couldn't get LMO...I am planning to apply for a study visa while waiting for CIC decision...please share your expereinces. I do not have too much time...I am hesitating.. do not know if I should apply for study or visitor visa???How much money required for both options???Any suggestions would be great...Please help!!!!!!!!

Do you already have a school acceptance letter (i.e. have you applied to and been accepted by a school)? If you don't have a school acceptance letter, then I'm not sure you have time to both do this and obtain the study permit.

Hi,

Unfortunately, I do not have the letter from the school yet..I only have an appointment with someone from the school...Is the admittance letter that difficult to get even for a 1 year diploma program?I thought there is only an interview...Yes, I understand that the time is too short but even if I don't get a study permit by dec 30 2012 i will be on implied status and can stay in Canada until I get a decision...Am I right? How about if I would like to start studying in March 2013???How to maintain legal status by March?
