Changing address- pls help

Hello guys. I wanted to discuss something as I do not want any problem in my PR process. I'm an October applicant, my BOWP has been rejected because I applied after my wp expired. I have left the country for now.
I have a lawyer, he faced a problem to update my current Indian address online because there is only an option to update canadian address as that column wasn't accepting outside Canada address. Later,he sent an email to CIC for changing address. Is that okay?

CPC_CTD_Ottawa email will accept address change and gives you confirmation.
Check with your lawyer , if he got a confirmation on address change.
