Hi,

I have a bit of a situation
I applied for my citizenship 2 weeks ago and havent received my AoR yet
I applied from Quebec and have been residing in Quebec right since I became a PR under the FSW program
I've been working remotely and I'm planning on moving to Ontario to my sisters place the next month and split time between Ontario and Mexico

I dont have any Ontario ID until now, but will have it eventually when I move there the next month

Would changing the address on my citizenship application have an impact on the processing time or raise any other concerns ?

I dont mind keeping my current residence if that means faster processing

Thanks,

Tough to answer definitively, but here is my *opinion*.

People are reporting different processing time based on the office handling their application. Based on others' feedback here, Montreal seems to actually be one of the fast offices. Scarborough seems to be slower. Many people have complained about no activity on their applications for a while. Additionally, lots of people who applied in May/June/July are reporting 3-5 month processing times. So, it might be beneficial to keep your Quebec address.

On the other hand, IRCC does tell you that you SHOULD inform them if you change address. So, if you do decided to inform them, wait till you get your AoR before sending a webform with change of address.
