changes in passport after PER please help anyone !

Hello All,

My Husband needs to go to UAE for a job hunt but his visa got refused because his father's name in his passport had abbreviations (S.M, instead of Shaikh Mohmammad). Now, the UAE visa dept. is asking for a corrected passport.

Our problem is - what happens if we get the passport changed at this stage?. All the forms we filled also had the same abbreviated father's name,we cannot change all that?

Please advice what to do? If we make corrections in the passport, how do we fix that at CIC end ?.

BTW, we received our PER on march 28, 2012.

Please help! My hubby has 2 - 3 prospective employers waiting for him for interview !

Not an issue at all. Situation and scenario change all the time.

What u need to do is to inform CHC for changes u intend to make...WITHOUT TELLING THAT INTENTION IS JOB IN UAE.....just share some other nominal reason for change and request for acknowledgement.

Once changes done, send copies of new and old docs to CHC giving reference to your letter earlier sent for information and thats it. If CHC wish to know anything in this regard, they will contact you otherwise deemed accepted

One question ... Where to send this email ? LVO or CIC ?.

Also, if the father's name gets changed in the passport, do we have to change that in the forms ? e.g im0008 ?
