Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
If you are applying for family sponsorship via Québec, there was a recent change in procedures for Quebec family class applications, which was implemented by the Quebec Ministère de l'Immigration des Communautés culturelles (MICC). It looks like you will now need to fill out the MICC undertaking kit and submit it to the MICC along with a copy of the letter issued by CPC (instead of having CPC-M submit the documents directly)

The details are available at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob295A.asp

Bonne chance!

Re: Changes for Québec family class sponsors

Thank you for this... but I'm slightly confused...

hasn't it always been that way? Do you mean to say that the CPC-M will send the application and NOT the sponsor? I'll be applying outland... does this effect me?

Re: Changes for Québec family class sponsors

yes it has always been like that....don't worry i didn't understand much from that update either and it came soon after i sent the CSQ application....for me it looks more like a change in the way Missisauga communicates with MICC or vice versa which does not really have an impact on the sponsors/applicants....just follow the instructions on the approval letter and from the MICC site and make sure the forms u fill in r the newest ones and all will b ok :) our CSQ is in process now and i suppose it won't b if the package would not have been complete

good luck!!

Re: Changes for Québec family class sponsors

overall i don't think there r any main imp changes (like eligibility, etc) maybe change in procedures - the way Missisauga and MICC work...the title might just freak people out (like it happenned to me) :o :o :o

I understood the inverse, from the link in the OP:

"Currently, if the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (CPC-M) receives an application where the sponsor lives in Quebec or is destined to Quebec, and meets the federal eligibility requirements, the CPC-M, and not the applicant, sends a copy of the undertaking application (IMM 1344EA (PDF, 358 KB)) directly to the MICC."

"It is no longer necessary to forward a copy of the IMM 1344 or IMM 5001 to the MICC."

"As of March 25, 2011, if CPC-M has an application, ... CPC-M will send a letter to the sponsor instructing them to download the MICC undertaking kit, complete and submit it to the MICC along with a copy of the letter issued by CPC. "

but whatever they do differently they have been doing it since March 25 2011 no? (since more than 1 year now) for me it still looks it is largely the same process (it does not say what the sponsor/applicant needs to do differently, only what Missisauga does differently or MICC; so from our side the procedure looks the same) ;) :) ;)

That quote of a lengthier document just addressed the quoted question. ;)

The bulletin with updated instructions was issued May 7, 2012. You can see all the details in link off of the OP to see if anything changes for your specific situation.

yeah i know thank u i did read it but nothing specific jump to my attention ::) anyway the csq is already in process so i guess i will know in a few days...maybe they will give different follow up instructions or maybe Missisauga gives different follow up instructions...i'll keep updated here

if somebody else understands better what the changes actually mean and if there is a different process in applying pls share here :)
