Hi,

I work in SK now for about 18 months under the SK nominee program. I work as a construction superintendent. I would have enough work to get by by myself but for that I would have to start my own business. I called SK provinical immigration and they told me that I can file for an Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Worker. This means I could change my status from being a provinicial nominee to an entrepreneur status. Aparantly this would not have an effect on my PR application that I have sent in a few months ago. I just have to make sure that I would do it before my current work permit expires which will be in March 2012.

My question is: Does anyone have experience with a similar change of status? And also would it be a good thing not only to apply for the entrepreneur permit but also for an extention of my current sinp permit?

Any information on this would be helpful

Cheers,

Tom
