Hello everyone,
Actually I wanted to know can I change my study program after the study permit approval and before arriving to Canada ?

The rules have changed, you can no longer just switch programs easily.
I contacted IRCC via Twitter regarding this matter, and they replied that I don’t need to tell them if I change the program. Also, I reached out to the immigration team in the university and they replied it is more of an internal process, and it should not affect the study permit.
Just to clear something out, my program is MEng in civil engineering and I added a graduate diploma to my masters which makes it a “combined program”

what do you think should I contact the university back or am I in the safe side?

Thanks

You aren’t changing DLIs though so this is not a problem. If you are changing DLIs then it is an issue, if you are outside of Canada.
