Change of Status?

I am currently in Canada on a study permit. I do find that i can apply for FSWP with the points required for the same. My study permit can get me a post graduation work permit.
So, if i apply for FSWP, will that change my status in Canada from a Student to a FSWP Applicant?

Please help

No, submitting an FSW application will not change your status in any way.

Ok. Thanks a lot. Coz one of my friends who was on a study permit applied for Refugee and her status was changed to Refugee Applicant, hence the question.
